All individuals qualified to teach at our school are certified by the Gracie Barra Instructors Certification Program (ICP). GB Instructors are held responsible to high standards of etiquette, instruction, and philosophy set by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and the Gracie Barra Association. Additionally, to maintain the integrity and focus on safety in our classes, all instructors are required to be CPR/Basic First Aid certified.

Pedro Dutra, He is 36 years old, have training jiu-jitsu since He was 4 years old, a third-degree black belt having the opportunity to give several seminars around the world, in Brazil He had the opportunity to own 3 Gracie Barra schools, bringing his essence and knowledge that He has building with Jiu Jitsu for 32 years. He also is a great competitor with many medals.
The last 5 years He has been teaching classes at Gracie Barra Pelham AL where He made a great friends, now He is honored to open an own gym with his wife Jacqueline Dutra also a black belt. Welcome to Gracie Barra Trussville.

Jacqueline Dutra, 33 years old, have training Jiu jitsu since 2013 at Gracie Barra, she loves be on the mats makes a good friends and be a great training partner.
As a athletic person since a teenaged she fell in love with Jiu jitsu not only because as sport, but how many thing she can always learn, the discipline, the loyalty, be persistent, also a self defense for life.
Now with her husband, she wants share her experience with the communities and bring as much women, kids and adults to the mats.
